The purpose of WP3 is to provide methods and tools for capturing learning experiences automatically and storing them in a semantic repository providing a history of learning experiences as a basis for reflective learning. Learning experiences include all available and accessible context information about a specific learning situation, including task context, interaction and collaboration, arousal or stress, etc.

  • Objective 3.1: Capturing task context information at workplace In order to provide meaningful context information to support reflective learning, we have to find practical ways to capture task context in real workplace settings.
  • Objective 3.2: Capturing the user’s physical and emotional stress as context information Physical and emotional stress plays an important role as context information in work and learning experiences. Emotional arousal and stress are prominent indicators of work situations that really are of importance to the users and can be used as a trigger for the annotation of working and learning situations by the user.
  • Objective 3.3: Context management and representation A model is needed for storing the data recorded about the learner’s practices, and organising it in a machine processable form. We will develop a semantic repository will allow for an intelligent augmentation of the information by finding relations between recognized entities.
