The purpose of the work package is to develop specifications based on open Internet standards that ensure the MIRROR Apps from WPs 3 to 8 can be flexibly interconnected. The interoperability framework delivers also the MIRROR Appsphere from which the users can select, retrieve and use the MIRROR apps in combination with their selected front end platform such as LMS, enterprise portal, social network, personal learning environment or other collaboration platforms (that are confirm to the specified standards).

Key objectives of the WP are:

• To simplify the development of Apps in MIRROR by selecting among the established Internet technologies a solid technical basis for service provision and interoperability
• To enable the MIRROR Apps to be embedded in widely used internet portals and mobile devices by providing a multi-platform framework
• To ensure right from the start that the MIRROR Apps can be integrated to meaningful service bundles by defining common data synchronization protocols. Provide demonstrators to showcase examples of meaningful bundles and test the integration framework.
