WP4 Learning by Reflection & Observation
|
The objective of WP 4 is to enable individuals to reflect on their own practices, and to learn from the observation of others’ practices by reflecting on the similarities and differences between them, making use of Apps developed within this workpackage. The concrete objectives are:
- Objective 4.1: Deepen understanding of individual reflective learning at work
- Objective 4.2: Design a user profile which contains an adequate summary of an individual’s work history
- Objective 4.3: Create individual reflection Apps that convert the user profile into a “usable” representation that supports individual reflection.
- Objective 4.4: Create a platform where work practices and experiences can be shared within a community of practice.
While a separate user study concerning individual reflection in particular will be carried out within this workpackage, this workpackage will be informed by ongoing research and past results concerning reflection at work in general (WP 1 – Reflection Model and User Studies). Through the reflection apps developed within this workpackage, the users can assess both strengths and potential problems within their own practices. Based on the awareness gained through individual reflection, users will be able to explicitly learn by using Apps for e.g. serious games (WP 7 – Creative Learning with Games) or problem solving Apps (WP 5 - Learning by Creative Problem Solving).
